Best Worst Movie: Wrong Side of Town

This movie has it all!!! Bizarre and unnecessary plot twists!! Multiple hand-to-hand combat sequences!!  Shitty editing!!  Ridiculous characters!!

Seriously this movie is a flaming bag of shit.

This is why it is hilarious.

If the trailer to the film didnt cue you in to how ridiculous the movie is, look at this 'behind the scenes' clip and just attempt to tell me that the director appears to be a sane individual.

Clearly.  This movie was born to go downhill.  The fashion and speed at which it does however is hilarious, and thus earns the prestigious title of a "BEST WORST MOVIE".

Dumbed down plot synopsis: Bobby (RVD-the big wrestler who is not Bautista) and his wife have moved to this nice and comfortable suburban neighborhood with their daughter.  They meet the ridiculously corny black neighbor Clay, who I suppose is supposed to serve as some sort of comic relief, but ends up just being extremely annoying...moving on, Clay invites them to a club owned by his shady boss-Seth.  Of course, Seth's little brother attempts to rape Bobby's wife, and Bobby accidently kills him in the process.  Seth thus puts a price on Bobby's head, but have no fear!--Bobby is ex-Special forces.

There a couple of major bones to pick with the movie. For starters, Bobby is probably the wimpiest ex-Special forces commando in the history of snake-eaters.  Seth literally pays off the whole town to kill Bobby, kidnaps his daughter with the intent to kill her and Bobby continues to let him live.  Like really..he had the chance to kill Seth about 14 times in the movie.  Bautista is the real badass in the film, but plays a guest role and also makes some ridiculous tactical decisions.  The most random scene in the movie is below. *Strong language used kiddies..

Other major Bones to pick:  Aiming down solely the front post of an M4.  Like literally...tipping the assault rifle upwards, neglecting to look through the rear sight and looking through just the front post.  No wonder Bobby retired to civilian life, he clearly was not RTFUing it up well enough to stay in Special Forces.

Anyway, if you want some easy laughs for ridiculous editing and silly plot twists, I'd suggest you check out Wrong Side of Town-it's on Netflix.

P.S. HUGE SPOILER ALERT

Seth's little brother was actually his son.  Yeah.  Ridiculous plot twist.
